Ingredients
12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup Sugar
1 1/4 c Water
Juice and grated rind of 1 orange
Method
- In a 2-quart saucepan combine the sugar, water, orange juice and orange rind. Stir over medium heat, until the sugar has dissolved.
- Add the cranberries to the sugar syrup, bring to a boil, and cook until cranberry skins start to split (about 1 minute).
- Remove from the heat and pour into a bowl to cool.
- For a finer sauce, pass through a seive, or whiz in a food blender.
